Ignoring Livestream Notifications Using Keywords
3 min read•Last updated: Oct 11, 2024
Kick Bot allows you to ignore livestream notifications when the stream title includes specific keywords. This feature is useful for filtering out unwanted notifications and keeping your Discord server clutter-free.
How to Use Keyword Filters
To ignore livestream notifications based on keywords, you need to use the "filters" option when setting up or editing a notification. Here's how to do it:
- Use either the
/add
or/edit
command to set up or modify a notification. - In the command options, look for the "filters" option.
- Enter your keywords, separating each with a comma.
Example:
keyword1, keyword2, keyword3
How It Works
When you set up keyword filters:
- Kick Bot will check the title of each livestream against your specified keywords.
- If any of the keywords are found in the title, the notification for that stream will be ignored.
- This applies to all future streams until you modify or remove the filters.
Tips for Effective Keyword Filtering
- Use common words or phrases that appear in streams you want to ignore.
- Consider using partial words to catch variations (e.g., "rerun" to catch "rerun" and "re-run").
- Remember that the filter is case-insensitive, so "TEST" will also catch "test" or "Test".
- Regularly review and update your filters to ensure they're still relevant.
Note:
The "filters" option is available in both the /add
and /edit
commands. You can add, modify, or remove filters at any time using these commands.
